During national emergencies like Hurricane Idalia in Florida and tornadoes across the Midwestern plain, standard procurement processes are waived as FEMA turns to pre-registered, pre-qualified vendors for support. FEMA currently has disaster recovery efforts throughout the US as a result of COVID as well as specific emergency recovery operations in Texas, the Midwest, Southeast, California, and Puerto Rico.
