USDA/EPA Approved Biobased Lubricants - Sep 2023

On-Demand Recording Interagency Briefing Recorded September 12, 2023

Pursuant to Executive Order 14081 and certification efforts of USDA and EPA all federal agencies are responsible for “(e) expanding market opportunities for bioenergy and biobased products and services; (f) train and support a diverse, skilled workforce and a next generation of leaders from diverse groups to advance biotechnology and biomanufacturing." The EO continues to state "The efforts undertaken pursuant to this order to further these policies shall be referred to collectively as the National Biotechnology and Biomanufacturing Initiative."

This interactive briefing will highlight USDA and EPA certifications and case studies as well as provide access to biobased lubrication products currently available through verified vendor resources approved by GSA. By understanding the dangers of common non-biobased lubricant usage, you can be part of your agency’s change to better, more effective lubricants.
